Air India Express, the budget airline of Air India will link Chennai and Tiruchirapalli with Abu Dhabi, the capital city of United Arab Emirates (UAE), from April 30. An official release from the airline stated that with the introduction of the new service from Chennai via Tiruchirapalli to Abu Dhabi, Air India Express would satisfy the long-felt need of the travelling public from Chennai and neighbouring parts of the State.

Air India Express flight IX 613 will be operated on Thursdays and Saturdays with B737 – 800 aircraft with a seating capacity of 185 economy class seats.

The flight will leave Chennai at 12.50 p.m. and reach Abu Dhabi (via Tiruchirapalli) at 5 p.m. (local time).

In the return direction, flight IX 614 will leave Abu Dhabi at 6.20 p.m. and will arrive in Chennai the next day at 1.40 a.m. on Fridays and Sundays.

The airline offers very attractive one way fare starting from Rs.5,800 (all inclusive) from Chennai and Rs.6,439 from Tiruchirapalli.

With the introduction of this flight, the Air India Express would be operating 23 flights per week to Abu Dhabi.
