Madras Crocodile Bank, is a captive breeding centre on the outskirts of Chennai. The Bank has helped toward increasing the population of crocodiles bred in captivity. It also acts as a research station and as an important educational tool for its 5 lakh visitors every year. At the helm today, is world-renowned conservationist Romulus Whitaker.
